Guys if you have a decent pc then look up super Mario 64 render96. That’s the definitive way to play the game. It’s RAY TRACED and looks INSANE. the goal of the project was to accurately make the game look like the original promotional render advertisements from Nintendo. Look up some videos of it.

I was almost considering buying the Nintendo Switch 2 just for this upgrade because I thought that they added Super Mario Galaxy 2, and they are not adding Super Mario Galaxy 2 to it. I have it on Nintendo Wii, but I want it on the Nintendo Switch 2. That's the only way that I would consider buying the Nintendo Switch 2. It's too much money for Mario Kart World. Mario Kart World game alone is hype to me. Anyways I hope that they bring Super Mario Galaxy 2 to the new console.

Mayne the only noticeable different with this title is that it seems faster on switch 2. Cause the FPS difference is noticeable with Mario 64 with try to grab the bomb king how fast the camera was orbiting around Mario. Maybe that is the difference as meant to to say upgraded for switch 2. Just FPS and that's all.

Big yikes ign. You could've done like....any amount of research to know nothing was upgraded except for the native upgrading switch 2 does to switch 1 games. Mainly just performance related. No resolution, no HDR, nothing like that. No higher framerates. Just more stable framerates if it lagged on switch 1. But all stars didn't. LOL. So all you're getting here is nothing. Legit nothing. Come on. Who uploaded this and thought it was upgraded?

Looks exactly the same to me. What they should have done is ported their source code instead of emulating and patching in some new HUD assets. Then they'd have been able to easily pull off 120fps / native 4K / 16:9 (optional), and a host of other QoL features. If you want the best way to experience Mario 64 just play the source code port, on PC, WiiU, etc..

Am I wrong or is this blatant misinformation?? These games did not get a switch 2 updates like splatoon /odyssey but it did get an update at launch like many switch 1 games as Nintendo says in their patch notes “ Several adjustments have been made to improve gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2” which was to make games work on their switch hybrid emulation with literally no improvements. Why ign in the description saying that there is hdr support, visual improvements and frame rate improvements when Nintendo has not updated the game for it?
