How to Unlock Mirror Mode in Mario Kart World

After doing every single supposed prerequisite, I can say with 1000% certainty that this is *NOT* all that's required. I not only beat every Grand Prix at 150cc, but I even did 50cc and 100cc beforehand. I've also beaten every Knockout Tour at 150cc with actual trophies and gotten far more than 10 of every collectable in free roam. Even then, despite doing all of this before doing a second run of Special Cup at 150cc, I was instantly brought back to the title screen and no Mirror Mode. Double-checked to make sure it was all correct and everything. The only reason for this that I can come up with is that maybe a particular playtime is needed or possibly a certain amount of points from online modes. Otherwise I'm at a loss as to why it didn't work.

FYI I had to watch full credits to get it nothing else worked . No free roam had to play special again and watch full credits and it finally worked lol

For anyone struggling to unlock it: I followed all the steps but still couldn’t unlock Mirror Mode. What worked for me was restarting the game and then replaying the entire Special Cup and not skipping the credits. After the credits finished, the special cutscene played and Mirror Mode was unlocked.

I've done all of the requirements and it still hasn't unlocked 🤷‍♂️

What am i doing wrong??? I have 40 ‐ P Switches 25 - ? Boxes 10 - Peach Medallions And have beaten all Grand Prix and Knockout courses with Gold Trophys I beaten the special cup multiple times and still nothing....

Why does the Official info from Nintendo's email just say Discover a new way to enjoy Grand Prix and Knockout Tour! You’ll need to come first in every 150cc Cup or Rally to unlock the Mirror option for the relevant mode.

Now we need to know how to unlock 200cc for free-roam and grandprix/knockout

So does getting three gold stars on all of the levels/CC'S in Grand Prix do anything?!

Jumping through the stained glass window is so cool! And honestly, i love this list of unlockables. In theory anyone who wants mirror mode would naturally come across it, but it also feels complex enough to feel like a playground rumor

Saddest thing is devs give no incentive to explore the open world outside of these 10 requirements..

I did this more than once and came first for every race, and no unlock.

Unlocked 200cc after completing the game 100% (all p-switches, peach medallions, ? block panels, 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, mirror all 3 stars and all knock out tours. Everyone is SO wrong about it.

You acknowledge that the car racing community took time to figure out how to unlock 200cc but you don't credit them or source your sources? Typical IGN

i do like that you don't have to come in first in every 150cc race and knockout rally, that means everyone at any gaming level can access mirror mode. though a bit hectic with gathering all the other things, it's still not impossible

Sometimes mirror mode triggers online if you haven’t unlocked yet. Also if you do any of these steps via multiplayer it messes it all up

I’m pretty sure the mirror mode unlock cutscene where it shows Luigi’s “L” on his hat being flipped is a reference to the L being flipped on Double Dash’s Box Art
