In junior hgh my friend and I chopped down a 20 ft. tree that had a bunch of branches and leaves. We took it to the 50 yard line of our school's football field at 3 a.m. and using post hole diggers I dug a hole a little over 3 ft. down. We filled it in completely and packed it down well. The next day they tried digging it up but couldn't and they eventually ended up using a chainsaw to cut it down. I dated a chick who has a younger brother who also played football and I told him this same story and he was like "What? We always trip on the 50 yard line because of you?" It was extremely cathartic hearing that kids have been tripping and falling down for years because of a prank my friend and I did.

The people that have loose arguments and negative opinions are the people that don’t actually watch the show. Bart always figures out the right way forward, even Homer sees the light most of the time. Remembering that this was never a show meant for little kids, it always showed after 7pm, it went from a Punch and Judy type show to more of a social commentary of current events.

And let’s not forget that a) he isn’t the real Seymour Skinner and b) the whole town moved. They would not of brought the buried pool with them. Go google: The episode of the Simpsons with Steve Martin & U2. It was the first episode of the Simpsons I watched that did not have a happy ending at all, that wasn’t a treehouse of horror episode. I recommend everyone watch that one episode. I thought about the ending for months.

When people say “Bart was just misunderstood he’s not a bad kid” I always show them this scene. He just heard the story of a man getting tortured for a week and how it ruined his life and and his first thought it “I gotta learn from this guy”
